Back in August 2020, the Cleveland Indians Charities & Kaulig Giving conducted its second annual Cleveland Indians Charities Giveathon presented by Kaulig Giving. With the global pandemic looming, and new unforeseen challenges that presented children from going back to classrooms in the fall, the Cleveland Indians and Kaulig Giving knew they had to step up to the plate and help strikeout the digital divide.

Breakthrough Public School students would be starting off the 2020 school year learning remotely. Unfortunately, countless children and families in our community didn’t have the right technology or even access to the internet. Together the Cleveland Indians Charities and Kaulig Giving were committed to providing children the best opportunity for education and raising funds through the Giveathon to address the digital divide. The Giveathon ended up raising over $235,000 and a third of the money raised went directly to Breakthrough Public Schools to equip these children with the technology needed to succeed inside and outside the classroom!

Hear from those at Breakthrough Public Schools who were impacted by the generosity of Kaulig Giving and Cleveland Indians Charities.
