The Hudson-based Kaulig Companies is lending its support to former Indians pitcher CC Sabathia’s foundation.
The 2007 American League Cy Young Award-winner is hosting a charity golf tournament on Oct. 4 at Alpine Country Club in Demarest, New Jersey. The event will support Sabathia’s The PitCCh In Foundation, which aims to “enrich the lives of inner-city youth by raising their self-esteem through educational and athletic activities.”
Kaulig, through the company’s Charitable Giving Programs, is the presenting sponsor of a tournament that is expected to include Michael Strahan, Action Bronson and other celebrities.
In a new release, Matt Kaulig, the executive chairman of the family of companies, said it was “an honor to partner with the PitCCh In Foundation for such an iconic event that gives back to communities in a way that is so special to Kaulig Companies.”
